Raymond Lizana

Raymond A. Lizana, age 85 of Pass Christian, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at his home in Pass Christian.

He was born August 24, 1936, in Gulfport, MS.

Raymond worked for International Long Shoremen for 41 years, retiring as a supervisor.

He was a man whose shoes will never be filled by any other person.  He loved his family and loved playing dominoes in his later years.  He enjoyed going on long rides and reminiscing of childhood memories.

Raymond was a very loving husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, step grandfather, and step great grandfather.

He was a longtime member of Holy Family Church.  A special thanks to Don and Jeanie Smith for weekly visits for prayer and Communion.

Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Lizana; his second wife, Peggy Lizana; and his stepdaughters, Debby Baker and Tina Peddicord.

He is survived by his brother, Jessie “Buddy” Lizana; his stepdaughter, Vicki Worley; his stepsons, Mike Roberts (Diane), Bill Roberts (Mary), and Steve Roberts (Kathy); and many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.

Many thanks to Southern Care Hospice for wonderful care given to Raymond before his passing.  Thanks also to Kaye Moss for all her help taking care of him.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach.  A second visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Friday, June 10, at Holy Family Catholic Church.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM at the church, followed by burial at Allen Cemetery.
