Rana Sones "Sue" Mayfield

Rana ""Sue"" Sones Mayfield, age 70, a native and lifelong resident of Bay St. Louis, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, in Bay St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lois Hobbs Sones.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James ""Jim"" Lee Mayfield, Jr.; her children, James Lee Mayfield III (Aimee) of Waveland, Yancey Sones Mayfield (Susie) of Waveland, and Lois V. Mayfield of Gulfport; her siblings, Nerle Sones Gutierrez of Mandeville, LA, Sr. Mila L. Sones of Michigan, and Floyd F. Sones, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; and her seven grandchildren, Brennan Arnold, Ashley Jorden, Yancey Mayfield, Jr., Kaitlyn Arnold, Alex Mayfield, Jaimee Mayfield, and Maddison Mayfield.
Sue was a homemaker and attended Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, Bay St. Louis with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Bayou La Croix Cemetery.
