He is employed as an unlimited chief engineer in the merchant marines mainly sailing from New York and Louisiana. He enjoyed collecting and shooting guns and listening and playing music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Doris Smith and a brother, Butsch Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Vikki Smith, a son, Evan Smith, 2 brothers, Ricky Smith and Mike (Ruth) Smith, numerous nieces and nephews, with special thanks to Aaron McGill and Matt Haley.
The memorial service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
