Ralph Edward Neumeier, age 81, passed away on January 18, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Ralph was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Mary Kolb Neumeier. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy Seabees and was a Vietnam veteran. During his naval career, he worked as a diesel mechanic instructor and retired as a Senior Chief after 27 years of dedicated service.
Ralph was deeply involved in his community and valued service to others. He served as a Cub Scout Cubmaster and Den Leader and volunteered with Boy Scout Troop 205 in Long Beach. He was also a member of the Mississippi Coast Cruisers Car Club and volunteered with Cruisin’ the Coast. A true car enthusiast, Ralph especially loved classic cars and was the proud owner of a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 396 SS.
Ralph was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Long Beach, where he volunteered with the kitchen ministry and participated in mission trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Kolb Neumeier; his brother, Donald Neumeier; and his sister-in-law, Lois Neumeier.
He is survived by his children, Russell Scott Neumeier (Michelle) and Lyall David Neumeier (Trisha); his siblings, Joseph Neumeier, Marianne Hackbarth (Donald), Virginia Kraft (Tom), and Margaret Neumeier; his grandchildren, Rachael Luu, Geoffrey Neumeier, Cory Neumeier, Alicia Neumeier, Tyler Neumeier (Morgan), Jacob Neumeier (Kristin), Brody Neumeier, and Kaitlyn Derouen; his great-grandchildren, Lilly Bellinghausen, Genny Bellinghausen, Rosie Luu, Nicolas Neumeier, and Stetson Hertz-Neumeier; and his former wife of 33 years, Dorothy McKay Neumeier.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, Mississippi, at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment with full military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
