Ralph Edward Neumeier, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 81 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was born on November 26, 1944, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and lived a life marked by dedication to his family, community, and service to his country.

Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy Seabees as a Vietnam Veteran, a commitment that shaped his strong work ethic and spirit. After 26 years of dedicated service, he retired as a Senior Chief. His technical skills as a diesel mechanic instructor demonstrated his passion for mentorship and education, roles he embraced with enthusiasm.

Beyond his military service, Ralph made significant contributions to his community. He touched the lives of many as a Cub Scouts Cub Master and Den Leader, nurturing the growth and development of young boys into responsible and caring individuals. His involvement extended further as he volunteered with Boy Scout Troop 205 in Long Beach, fostering teamwork and leadership skills in the youth he guided.

Ralph had a deep passion for classic cars, proudly owning a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. He was a former member of the Mississippi Coast Cruisers Car Club and generously volunteered for the annual Cruisin the Coast event, which celebrated the beauty of classic automobiles and brought joy to countless car enthusiasts.

A devoted member of the Church of Christ in Long Beach, Ralph actively volunteered in the kitchen ministry and participated in mission trips, exemplifying his commitment to serve others and fulfill his faith through action.

Ralph is survived by his two sons, Russell Scott Neumeier (Michelle) and Lyall David Neumeier (Trisha). He was a proud grandfather to Rachael Luu, Geoffrey Neumeier, Cory Neumeier, Alicia Neumeier, Tyler Neumeier, Jacob Neumeier, Brody Neumeier, and Kaitlyn Derouen. Additionally, he was a great-grandfather to Lilly Bellinghausen, Genny Bellinghausen, Rosie Luu, Nicolas Neumeier, and Stetson Hertz-Neumeier. Ralph's legacy of love and wisdom will continue through his family.

He is also survived by his siblings, Joseph Neumeier, Marianne Hackbarth (Donald), Virginia Kraft (Tom), and Margaret Neumeier. Ralph's family ties and connections brought him great joy throughout his life.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Kolb Neumeier, as well as his brother, Donald Neumeier, and sister-in-law, Lois Neumeier. Their memories hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.

As we remember Ralph, we celebrate a man who dedicated his life to his family, served his country honorably, and made lasting contributions to his community. His warm spirit, unwavering commitment to helping others, and love of family will be dearly missed but forever cherished by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, at 11:30am. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Interment with full military honors will be rendered at Biloxi National Cemetery following services.
