Phyllis J. Escue, age 74, of the Kiln, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, July 3,2013.
Phyllis was born in Charleston, West Virginia. She has been a resident of Kiln for the past 38 years. She was loved and respected by all those who knew her. Her quiet strength and generosity will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice W. and Beulah Crowell of Gulf Shores AL; her husband, Ronceford C. Escue and a son, Curtis L. Escue.
She is survived by her brother, Russell Crowell (Sharon) of Buffalo, West Virginia; her two children, Sennie Tamborella (George) of Kiln and son, Adolph Escue (Connie) of Bay St. Louis. She was the precious grandmother of six, Joseph Mayoral (Amy), Josh Mayoral, Paul Tamborella (Jessica), Adam Escue, Ashley Escue, and Senith Anne Tamborella; three great grandchildren, Michael Mayoral, Paul and Lanyah Tamborella.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013, at 11am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, where family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
