Phillip Keith Simpson, 51, of Biloxi, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Biloxi.
Phillip loved his family and friends. He was an avid Peyton Manning and Dale Jr. fan and he loved to hunt and fish, especially with his nephew Andrew. He was an excellent cook and he loved grilling and cooking for everybody. He loved candy just like a kid and he shared with his nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Nile Simpson; step-father, Bill Nivens; step-mother, Ruth Ann Simpson; maternal grandparents, Dave & Maude Johnson of Barboursville, WV; paternal grandfather, Stanley Simpson of Huntington, WV; and uncle, Larry Simpson of West Monroe, LA.
Phillip is survived by his mother, Pat Nivens; brothers, Drexel Simpson (Dewania) of West Monroe, LA, James Simpson (Janie) of Ocean Springs and Whitney Simpson of Baytown, TX; sisters, Carol Crocker Gipson of Biloxi and Nile Simpson Hernandez of Baytown, TX; paternal grandmother, Edna Simpson of Huntington, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at 4pm, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the family residence, 12279 Oaklawn Road, Biloxi, MS 39532.
