Phillip Vincent Babischkin, age 56 of Ocean Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Mobile, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheldon and Margaret Babischkin.

Phillip is survived by his children, Ashley (Steven) Payne, Tyler (Jessica) Babischkin, Katelyn (Holton) Johnson, Joey Horne, Jordan Horne and Carrissa Babischkin; his grandchildren, Steven Payne, Jr., Maximus Payne, Braylon Horne and Anessa Johnson; his sister, Rene’ (Mike) McElroy; his niece and nephew, Emma McElroy and Michael McElroy; additional loved ones, Wendy Ludwig-Stanton and Tammie Tolliver; and numerous cousins and family members.

Phillip was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where he graduated from Ocean Springs High School. He had a passion for antiquing and classic cars, always enjoying the thrill of a good treasure hunt. Phillip never missed a chance to take in a beautiful sunset and was known for his quick wit and lively sense of humor—he was truly the life of the party. He loved dancing, fishing, and, most of all, cooking for his family, bringing people together with his warmth and joy.

A celebration of Phillip’s life will begin at 5:00 pm at Fort Maurepas City Park and Nature Reserve, 499 Front Beach Dr., Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
