Philip Louis Smith, Jr. passed away May 31, 2013 in Gulfport. He was born May 3, 1930 in New Orleans, LA and was a veteran of the United States Navy who served in the Korean War.
He was the son of the late, Philip Louis Smith, Sr. and Natalie Acquistpace Smith; and the brother of the late Carolyn Smith Daly.
Survivors include his daughter, Tina Smith LaBeaud and her husband, Lyndon LaBeaud, Sr.; grandchildren, Lyndon LaBeaud, Jr., Lawrence LaBeaud and his wife Elizabeth Keenan LaBeaud, and Lauren LaBeaud; and his cousin, Emile Tujaque.
The family would like to express their thanks to the personnel of the Armed Forces Retirement Home for their and dedication, especially the staff of Valor Hall for their care and compassion.
Interment will be private at St. Vincent de Paul #3 in New Orleans, LA.
