Mr. Phil Travis Tidwell passed away at his home in Gulfport on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Born in Batesville, Mississippi, to Cecil Edward Tidwell and Cokla Mary Hawkin Tidwell, Phil lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength. A devoted Christian man and a 33rd degree Mason, he carried himself with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose.  Phil was married to the love of his life, Natha Ann Anderson Tidwell, for 30 wonderful years. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and devotion. 

He was a proud and loving father to his son Patrick, and a cherished grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Keith; and his sister, Pat Horn.  

Phil found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing and crabbing, traveling, taking road trips, and riding through the countryside. More than anything, he loved his family. He was always there when he was needed, offering a helping hand, steady support, and a warm smile that could put anyone at ease. Those who knew Phil will remember him as a kind, dependable, and gentle soul—a man who gave freely of his love and time. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought light, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm.
