Peter M. Pellegrini

Peter Michel Pellegrini, Sr., age 95, of Diamondhead, passed away on November 18, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Spedale Pellegrini, sister, Louise Rittinger, son-in-law, Gilbert Reyna, Jr., and his parents, Marguerite and Peter John Pellegrini.
Mr. Pellegrini is survived by his children, Anne Pellegrini and Pat Reyna of Diamondhead, and Peter Pellegrini, Jr., his step-grandchildren, Marissa Reyna and Austin Reyna, both of Houston.
Mr. Pellegrini was a native of New Orleans, LA and has been a Diamondhead resident for 36 years. Along with his wife Frances, he was owner/operator of Pellegrini Corset and Surgical Supply Shop in New Orleans adjacent to Touro Infirmary for 17 years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. MCCall (DD400) and U.S.S. Heywood L. Edwards (DD663) where he received the Bronze Star while serving in the Philippine Liberation. Upon retiring in Diamondhead, he was an avid golfer, an AARP volunteer preparing income tax returns, and a member of the Diamondhead VFW and Annunciation Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, November 21, 2016, at Annunciation Catholic Church Chapel where friends may visit from 10 - 11 am. A private interment will be held in Biloxi National Cemetery.
