Peggy Sue Davis, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of the Gulfport community, passed away on September 13, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. She was born on June 26, 1938, in Columbus, MS, where she spent her formative years before moving with her husband, Robert Lewis Davis, Sr., to Gulfport in the 1960s.
Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Throughout her life, her family was her greatest passion and pride. She is survived by her children: Terri Price, Robert Davis, Jr., James Davis (Debra), and Jon Davis, as well as her numerous grandchildren, Natasha, James, James, Jr., Craig, Heather, Harper, Zachary, and Scott. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Charlie, Cash, Colby, Tanner, Olivia, Max, Jaycee, and Zoe, all of whom were her joy and inspiration.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Lewis Davis, Sr., and her parents, Verdell and Flora Lucille Blankley, along with her brother, Thomas Davis.
Peggy was known for her warm spirit and unwavering love, always putting her family at the center of her life. Her legacy is one of kindness and devotion, and she will be remembered as an amazing person who touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
