Patsy Ladner, age 86, of Kiln, MS, passed away peacefully at her home on September 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 9, 1939, to the late Willie Necaise and Lucille Necaise Waitschies.
She never met a stranger. She loved and enjoyed her family and she loved tending to her cattle and land. She had retired from the Sun Herald after 25 years of service. Patsy was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Kiln, MS. She was a woman of great strength and conviction. She was also a woman of great faith and service to her church and community.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arnold A. Ladner; her grandson, Brian Hoda; her brother, Kevin Necaise; her brother, Willie Necaise, Jr; and her sister, Betty Mae Ladner.
She is survived by her children, Karen Hoda Whetzel, Marsha (Derek) Necaise, Marty Ladner, and Carla (Willie) Santiago; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 11 am - 1 pm at Annunciation Catholic Church (small chapel), 5370 Kiln DeLisle Rd, Kiln, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm in the chapel. Interment will be in Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
