Patrick Elton Murphy, age 65, of Long Beach, passed away on September 22, 2017.
He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick E. Murphy, Jr.; his father, A.T. Murphy; his mother, Annie Lois DiLorenzo; and a brother, James Larry "Spook" Murphy.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Murphy; 4 children, Zachary (Tammy) Murphy, Jennifer Murphy, Jessica (John) Murphy, and Emily (Matt) Murphy; his siblings, Tom (Ann) Murphy, Micky (Cindy) Murphy, Nettie (Denis) Carlson, Bettie (Jerry) Rogozinski; 2 grandchildren, Madison Morris and Aubrey Puckett; and numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and other relatives.
He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a Wildlife Biologist for the State. He was an avid outdoor and firearms enthusiast and he enjoyed playing and writing music and treasure hunting.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 4 - 6 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. A memorial service will be at 6 pm in the funeral home chapel.
