Patrick Ladner

Lovander Patrick 'Pat" Ladner, age 72, lifelong resident of Hancock County, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at his home surrounded by family.
Pat was born to Lovander and Ethelyne Ann Hoda Ladner. Since his childhood, he had a passion for horses, which he turned into his livelihood. He was a quarter horse trainer in his career which began over 50 years ago. He also trained thoroughbreds, many of which were placed on the racing circuit throughout the South. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux and also attended with family at St. Matthew Catholic Church in White Cypress. Pat loved football, especially his LSU Tigers!
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Stacey Spiers and Kendall Patrick Ladner; his brother, Darryl Ladner.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Ladner; children, Tammy Garber (Steve) of Kiln, Louis Brent Ladner of Kiln, Dustin Hartfield (Kimberly) of Hattiesburg; son-in-law, Rex Spiers of Carriere; siblings, Mike Ladner (Gail) of Perkinston, Kathleen Cuevas (Leslie) of Lizana, Darla Cuevas of Kiln, Danita Holladay (Rick) of Kiln, Vanessa Gallagher (Kerry) of Kiln; sister-in-law, Donna Ladner of Kiln; grandchildren, Ashleigh Spiers, Chase Spiers (Emily), Lacie Garber, Whitney Garber, Kirsten Ladner, Alleigh Ladner, Desteney Hartfield, Kayden Hartfield; two great grandchildren, Collin Bales and Dawsen Brown.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in White Cypress at 1:00 pm.
Visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery.
