Patricia Winborne

Patricia “Ellen” Winborne, age 80, passed away in Ocean Springs, MS on June 19, 2020.

Mrs. Patricia “Ellen” Winborne, daughter of the late Thomas and Mattie Lambert, was born on January 24, 1940 in Columbia, MS.  She was a dedicated member of Gulf Coast Seventh-day Adventist Church and long-time resident of Vancleave, MS.

Ellen was married to Edward E. Winborne in May of 1955, and soon became the proud parents of three children.

Her favorite things in life were shopping, cooking, baking and hosting family get-togethers in her home, where everyone was always welcomed, and even those who entered as strangers, left as family.  As a result of her generous spirit, beautiful smile, and pleasant personality, she was loved by many.  Her love and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.  She quietly departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs, MS

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Winborne, in April of 2010; by her parents; two brothers, Billy Lambert and Jerry Lambert; and a grandson, Joshua Steele.

Her beautiful life will forever by cherished in the lives of her children, Cynthia “Diane” Steele-Falgo (Ernest), Robert “Michael” Winborne and Gerald “David” Winborne (Denise); her nine grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Lambert (Betty); sister-in-law Mickey Lambert; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 following an hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 until the service at 11:00 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave. in West Jackson County.  Due to current CDC regulations, only 50 people will be allowed in the building , and request that mask be worn.
