Patricia Maxine “Pattie” Lefeve, 72 years old, beloved sister, friend, and caregiver, passed away peacefully from pneumonia in Gulfport, Mississippi, on December 12, 2025. Born in Gulfport on February 15, 1953, Pattie was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Lefeve and Maxine Lefeve. She is survived by her Brother, Michael and BB, her beloved “alternate mother,” who raised her with steadfast love and care.
She graduated from Gulfport East High School and began her training at St. Dominic’s School of Nursing. She later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from William Carey College. A registered nurse by profession, Pattie’s career was defined by compassion and dedication. Her working career was spent in California which she loved. She returned to the Gulf Coast in 2015 to care for both of her elderly parents.
She loved the Mississippi Gulf Coast for its beauty and charm. Her real loves were everything NASCAR and Formula One racing, the LA Lakers, and Mick Jagger. Her kindness extended to all living things—especially animals, for whom she had an abiding affection and often a soft spot in her home. Among her most beloved companions were her backyard chickens, each affectionately named after her favorite rock stars, including Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks. They brought her joy, laughter, eggs and no shortage of stories to share. She was a foster parent to many dogs, often adopting them as her own. She requested that her beloved dog Maggie’s ashes be spread with hers.
Pattie brought joy wherever she went. Whether hosting friends or taking a quiet walk along the beach, she radiated warmth, humor, and authenticity. She was always ready for an adventure, eager to connect, and quick to see the good in others.
Pattie was a member of Robinwood Baptist Church of Saucier, MS, her faith was a guiding force in her life. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her vibrant spirit. Her enduring gift was the warmth of her Mississippi hospitality—welcoming everyone as though they were long-lost friends and reminding us of all to find beauty, laughter, and meaning in every moment. Her legacy of compassion, fun, and friendship will live on in the many hearts she touched. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi www.hssm.org or the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
