Patricia Baczuk

Lt. Col. Pat Baczuk, USAF Retired, passed away on February 15, 2018 in D'Iberville, MS.
Pat was born Sept. 18, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from Gainesville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in social science from Portland State University in Oregon.
Pat was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, John and Shirley Skinner; and two brothers, David and Terry Skinner.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Torres (Jorge); her mother, Evelyn Griffith; and brothers, Rusty and Tom Skinner.
Pat joined the U.S. Air Force in 1972.  After more than 15 years of enlisted service, she attended Airman Leadership School and was commissioned an Air Force officer.  After assignments in Florida, Virginia, Oregon and Washington, she settled in Mississippi in 1996 where she served as the Performance Planning Officer with the 403rd Wing at Keesler Air Force Base.  Lt. Col. Baczuk was also assigned as the Wing Executive Officer twice.  Many of her Air Force military positions were also civilian positions, allowing her to retire in 2011 with 38 years of military duty and 20 years Civil Service.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and taking long hikes in the forest. She especially loved spending time with her daughter, Kelly, the light of her life.
Graveside Service will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
