Patricia Anne Bond

Patricia Anne Sovell Bond, age 82, of Long Beach, Mississippi, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love, comfort, and prayers of her family. Patricia lived a life defined by faith, devotion, and a gentle strength that touched all who knew her.

Born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Lawrence Sovell Sr. and Clarice Parker Sovell, both of whom preceded her in death, Patricia grew up rooted in the values of family and service—principles she carried with her throughout her life and passed on to the generations that followed.

Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of over 63 years, Roland V. Bond Sr., with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership, dancing, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She also leaves behind her cherished children, Roland V. Bond Jr. and Kelly Bond Homrich (Stephen), who remember her as a loving mother, a wise guide, and the heart of their family.

She is survived by her siblings, Claire Sovell Eleuterius (Jack) and Lawrence Sovell Jr. (Karrol), who shared a lifetime of memories and traditions with her.

Patricia cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Known affectionately as “Granny,” she found profound joy in each of her grandchildren—Ashley Bond, Meghan Bond, Madeline Christin (William), Kurtis Homrich, Ava Flurry, and Emma Flurry—and celebrated every achievement, milestone, and moment in their lives. Her loving legacy continues through her great grandchildren: Trace Pierson, Penelope Pierson, Tobias Pierson, Piper Ann Pierson, Benjamin Bond, Sebastian Buchholz, Isabella Buchholz, Charles Buchholz, and Xavier Christin, all of whom were blessed by her warmth, humor, and unwavering affection.

In addition, Patricia is survived by six nieces and nephews: Jack Eleuterius III (Chantel), Lauren Eleuterius Ellis (Glenn), Keith Eleuterius (Rita), Jennifer Sovell Chadwick (John), Lawrence Matthew Sovell III (Samantha), and Meghan Sovell Ward (James). She also leaves behind fourteen great nieces and nephews, each of whom touched her life in their own special way with kindness and gentle spirits.

A devoted and active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Patricia lived her faith through service. Over the years, she served as a Religious Education Teacher, CYO Youth Advisor, Eucharistic Minister, and Parish Council Member. Whether teaching children, supporting youth, or serving in the liturgy, Patricia offered her time generously and with great love. Her dedication to her parish family deepened her commitment to her faith.

Patricia will be remembered for her boundless compassion, her steady, comforting presence, and the grace with which she cared for everyone around her. Her legacy is one of faith, selflessness, and enduring love — a legacy that will continue to live on in the many people whose lives she touched.
