Partin Slade

Partin Slade, age 88, passed away on October 3, 2018 in Gulfport, MS.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Slade; one son, James David Slade; parents, Manuel and Ivanora Slade; and his siblings, Jerry, Manuel, Jr, Rovatine, Mike, Fred, and George.
He is survived by his three children, Robert "Mike" Slade (Pam) of Lyman, Gary Partin Slade of Lyman, Cathy King (Hiram) of Biloxi; six grandchildren, Andi, Dana, Angela, Chris, Hiram, Jr., Joe; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Larry Slade; one sister, Beverly Baker; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved animals.
He was a perfectionist and could be classified as a "Jack of All Trades", although he worked mostly as a brick layer and a mechanic. His hobbies were fishing, motorcycle riding, and auto racing.
He served in the US Army between 1950 - 1955 where he was stationed in Italy during the Korean Conflict and served as a mechanic.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6:00 PM -  8:00 PM RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
