Pamela Glenda Taylor

Pamela Glenda Taylor, lovingly known to everyone as Glenda, was born August 9, 1948, and passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

Glenda loved her family with a fierce, unconditional “mama bear” love that was hard to rival. She was a giver, full of compassion and kindness, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved to cook and found great joy in caring for her family, creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and love. Her heart was generous, her spirit strong, and her love unwavering.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Dewain Johnson, Sr. and George Taylor; her son, Paul Dewain Johnson, Jr.; her brothers, Robert Lee Nix & Joseph Leon Nix , and her parents, Grady Leon Nix and Care Lee Nix.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Leon Johnson (Erika) and Glen Allen Johnson, both of Gulfport, Mississippi; her grandson, John Taylor Johnson; and her brother, Grady Martin “Butch” Nix (Kitty) of Silas, Alabama.

Glenda’s legacy of fierce love, devotion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.  Graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.
