Ollie Schonewitz, Jr., age 76, of Saucier, passed away on May 7, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Iris Schonewitz; 2 brothers, Billy A. Schonewitz, Douglas Schonewitz, Sr. and Roy Schonewitz.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Schonewitz; 4 sons, Ollie (Joy) Schonewitz, III, Les Schonewitz, Jeff (Alice) Schonewitz, and Brian (Toni) Schonewitz; 2 brothers, Joe Edward Schonewitz and Larry Schonewitz; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Schonewitz was involved for many years in Saucier Youth Sports including baseball and boxing. He was retired from the Navy Sea Bee Base and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 9 - 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Saucier Cemetery.
