Ola Bernice Roberts Orr, age 87, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014.
She was born in Smithdale in Amite County in 1926. She was the 9th of ten children and came with her sister to the Coast, where she worked at the garment factory in Gulfport and Angelo's Restaurant. She married in 1946 and traveled with her career-military husband. She spent her spare time doing needlepoint, cooking, and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. ""Son"" Orr, Jr.; her parents, Charles Bernard Roberts and Lena Lee Reeves Roberts; and her 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, including her Godson, Ian Bahm (and his wife, Katt).
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregiver for her love and attention, Misty Bertucci.
