Ofelia W. Peterson Niolet, 89, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Peterson; her baby daughter, Barbara Ann Peterson; parents, Richard and Bessie Woods; sisters, Olivia, Hattie and Obie; brothers, Wiley and Warren Woods; son-in-law, Cecil Ladner; and great-granddaughter, Tanae Ladner.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Janet) Peterson; daughter, Pat Ladner; brother, Otis (Pearl) Woods; grandchildren, Jan (Brian) Currie, David (Christy) Peterson, Robbie (Nacy) Ladner, Rodney (Kathy) Ladner and Terry (Julie) Ladner; great-grandchildren, Faith Peterson, Tristan & Blake Nations, Makenna Currie, Jazelle, Tareka, Keyera, Robbie Jr., Darrin, Colin, Wade, Jasmyne and Colleen Ladner; four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Special love to her grandson, Robbie and his wife Nacy for their love and care of Ofelia during her three weeks stay at Canon Hospice.
Visitation will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 11am to 1pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm. Burial will follow at Alphonse Malley Memorial Cemetery.
