O'Donnis King Garland

With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of O’Donnis King Garland, who departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 39. O’Donnis was a vibrant soul, known for his enduring spirit, generous heart, and unforgettable smile.

O'Donnis was sent from Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, MS, to Bates Family Funeral Home, De Kalb, Texas, for services. 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the United Holiness Church in De Kalb, Texas, with Reverend Delphin Germany and Reverend Melvin Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Garland Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Repast will be immediately following interment at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
