Noreen "Reenie" Chadwick

Noreen "Reenie" Chadwick, age 63, of Gulfport, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Born in Coney Island, NY to Charles and Sara Chadwick, Reenie moved around a lot in her early life until finally settling down on the Mississippi coast in her later years. Known for her contagious smile and creative spirit; Reenie loved, tanning by the pool, going to the beach, traveling, fishing, camping, playing "Lefler" Badminton, watching horror movies, reading, singing karaoke, planning/decorating and dressing up for events and holidays, crafting and sketching, and playing D&D. Most of all, though, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loving them to the fullest.

Reenie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sara R. Chadwick; two sisters, Sara L. Chadwick and Vicki "Tori" Chadwick; and her two beloved fur babies, Lil' Gurl and Pebbles.

She is survived and cherished by her three children, Andrea Lefler of New Zealand, Adam Lefler and his wife Jes of Wisconsin, and Amanda Lefler and her fiancé Stefan Davis of Mississippi; three siblings, Alvin Chadwick and his wife Cynthia of Mississippi, James Christopher and his wife Dina of New Jersey, and Gloria Hills of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Trinity Lefler-Folstad, Gabriel Lefler, and Gavin Lefler; and her five grand fur babies, Binx & Storm Lefler, Luna & Jax Lefler, and Aries Davis-Lefler.

In memory of Reenie: Here one moment but not the next. Giggled conversations over card games with newfound friends. Words of excitement echoing down the halls about your little girl's wedding as you shared laughter and smiles with your oldest daughter from across the world. Wishing your son that all is well on his next adventures and pursuits; and words of strength and encouragement shared with your brother before bed. These are the lingering moments of you that day that will remain in our memory forever.

We will never forget all you have done for all of us. Thank you for being such an incredible friend to those you’ve met; always leading with your heart and bringing warmth and joy wherever you go. Thank you for giving us life, giving up a part of yours, and giving us the opportunity and honor to call you mother. You believed in each one of us and always gave everything even when it meant you would be without. Our goals, your goals; our dreams, your dreams. You are the definition of motherhood. The light of our lives and the knot that will continue to hold us together through our storms. Thank you for loving us and thank you for always being you. Your spirit rises and sets with the sun now and we will continue to feel your warmth and love.

But for you? Don't linger too long, for adventure, rest, and "Home" awaits. May you find the prettiest beach where warm sands and beautiful water stretch for miles. A place where you can forever spend your time tanning in the sun by day, dancing and singing to your favorite songs under starlight by night. A home inside a cozy little cottage where you can decorate for any holiday you want, then marathon all the best horror movies, or curl up with a good book and some coffee. Where Pebbles and Lil’ Girl can chase each other through the sea foam before bedtime cuddles and all those you've lost can stop in to share in laughter and catch up on all your adventures. Endless happiness in a world surrounded by love from near and afar. For you will always be loved. Rest now and know that so much of you still lives in this world with all of those you have ever met; and in every smile, every song, every laugh; we will keep sharing you.
