Nona Ruth May

Nona Ruth Grant May, age 74, and a resident of Long Beach, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in Gulfport. Mrs. May was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was active any way she could be. She enjoyed raising children and taking care of them. She will be missed very much.
Survivors include her husband, Ed May; children, Lee May of Long Beach, Edgie Dorris, (Paul) of Long Beach; and Eric May, (Stephanie) of Pass Christian; sisters, Hilda Wheat, (Benny) of Lizana, and JoAnn Rush, (Alvin) of Brandon; and 3 grandchildren, Steven Money of Saucier, Alex May of Pass Christian, and Julianne May of Pass Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Ruby Grant; sisters, May Imes and Dora Grant; and brothers, Sonny Grant and Kinneth Grant.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service.
Burial will follow services at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
