Nola Morere Lambing, age 99 of Gulfport, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, U.S. Air Force Captain Guy Lambing; parents, John Peter and Nora Morere; brother, Herlihy John Morere; brother-in-law, Fordie Sutherlin; and nephew, Jim Sutherlin.
Mrs. Lambing is survived by her sister, Marcelle Sutherlin; nieces and nephews, Ann Vitosky, Sue and Kim Gulley, John and Lucy Sutherlin, Ford Sutherlin, Tim Sutherlin, Betty and Bob Wilson, Linda and Gary Darby, Donna Morere and John Monti, J. P. Morere; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and nephews.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama and was employed with the Harrison County Welfare Department for 20 years. In her free time she enjoyed dancing, gardening, and spending time with her friends at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS. Mrs. Lambing was a member of the St. James Ladies Altar Society, Women's Club of Gulfport, Gulfport Garden Club, Mississippi State University Extension Homemakers Volunteers, and the Keesler Officers' Wives Club, where she volunteered at Keesler Air Force Base Thrift Shop.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church. A reception will be held at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, P.O. Box 1228, Biloxi, MS 39533.
