Nicole Patton Deas, age 40, of Gulfport, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, in Hattiesburg, MS with the love and support of her family and an army of friends surrounding her.
Nicole was born January 24, 1983, to her mother, Elaine Ladner and her father, Andy Patton. Nicole lived in the Lizana community throughout her childhood and graduated from Harrison Central High School in 2001. Nicole dedicated over 17 years as an employee of Millerco and was a member of Women of NATE. She was the co-owner of Deas Homes and Deas Properties. Nicole had recently completed the classes to acquire her Mississippi Real Estate License and was very excited to run her own real estate company, Deas Properties.
Nicole was a wonderful mother, a beautiful daughter, and the perfect wife. Nicole was a Christian and attended local churches over the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest passion was the children… hers, her cousins, her friends, any child she could take care of, she did. Nicole was truly special and always had fun in everything she did. She loved camping at Flint Creek and in the mountains of TN. She would cruise around on her Mo-ped and make friends with everyone. She loved to karaoke and dance, go beaver hunting, frog gigging, fishing, kayaking at her lake, and would constantly play jokes on her husband and kids. Life, to Nicole, was meant to be lived to the fullest and she did that each and every day.
Nicole is survived by her loving husband, Brian Deas; her five children, Mackenzie Simmons, Aspen Simmons, Tucker Ladner, Denver Deas, and Dylan Deas; brother, Andy Ray Patton; grandmother, Joyce Ladner; niece, Madalyn Patton; fur baby grandson, Carl; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward "Joe" Ladner; and paternal grandparents, Shephard Patton, and Delores Patton, all of Gulfport, MS.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 9 - 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Wedgeworth Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Forest General Hospital Critical Care Unit for the excellent care and services they provided to Nicole and for their kindness and compassion they showed to the family.
Your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Nicole showed her love for other by being an organ donor. Someone has beautifully said about organ donation that, “Don’t think of organ donations as giving up a part of you to keep a total stranger alive. It’s really a total stranger giving up almost all of him to keep a part of you alive.” Our sincere gratitude goes to Tricia Byrd and Lanee Campbell of MORA (Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency) for their help in guiding us through the donation process.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
