Nhan Nguyen

Nhan Thi Nguyen, age 70, passed away on September 3, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones, in Houston, TX. She was born in Bui Chu, Vietnam on March 10, 1952 to Sac Van Nguyen and Vong Thi Nguyen.

Mrs. Nguyen was a lifelong Catholic, proud and loving mother of 9 children, avid gardener, cook, and seamstress.  She was known in her community for her fruit trees, especially her dragon fruit, jujube, and persimmon trees. She loved singing in the Vietnamese church choir, Sao Mai, and had a distinct interest in the traditional Vietnamese dress, Ao Dai, with a collection of over 200 dresses.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Cham Van Nguyen, her daughter, Duyen Thi Le, and brother, Le Van Nguyen. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Do and his wife, Dianelys, Kim and her husband, Thomas Shaw, John and his wife, Kim Oanh, Paul Nguyen, Mary and her husband, David Wolfe, Grace and her husband, Chase Hudspeth, Therese and her husband, Jeremy Baldwin, and Peter Nguyen; son-in-law, Nghia Le; siblings, Tuyen Van Nguyen and Hue Nguyen; grandchildren, Jessica Le, Justina Le, Sophia Shaw, Emelia Shaw, Leah Nguyen, Ivy Nguyen, Meghan Nguyen, Paxton Nguyen, Saint Clair Wolfe, Alice Baldwin, and Charlotte Baldwin; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Chi and Tra, Chuyen, Can and Thanh, Can and Tuyen, Nga and Duc, Cu and An, Jasmine, Michaux, Lincoln and Leanna; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, MS and Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 8:30 am to 10:;00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian.  Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Holy Family Parish.
