Nguyen Hong Thanh, was born in Can Tho, Vietnam on April 16, 1933, and passed away peacefully at his home in Long Beach on May 4, 2016.
He spent many years raising his family as a shrimperman. He was known to be a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Mr. Nguyen will be reunited in Heaven with his parents, his brother, his three children and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nguyen Thi Chinh; 12 children, 22 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11th from 5pm-9pm; Thursday, May 12th from 5pm-9pm; Friday, May 13th from 3pm-5pm and Saturday, May 14th from 7am-8:30am, all at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14th at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian, where family and friends may visit from 9am until service time. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Pass Christian.
