Newahana Collins, a loving wife, daughter, sister, mom, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on June 25, 2023, in Saucier, MS, surrounded by her loved ones.

Newahana was preceded in death by her parents, Julius "Speck" and Patsy Lizana; as well as her beloved husband, Ronald "Ron" Collins; and her younger brother, Kirk Lizana. 

She is survived by her daughters, Brianne Collins (Lance Hamm) and Kimberly (Jamie) Ritzman; her stepson, Ron Collins Edwards (Tony Edwards Collins); her brothers, Kimothy "Kimmy" (Toni) Lizana and Chad (Mary) Lizana; and her grandchildren, Raylan Travis Markowski, Shelby Leanne Ritzman, and Carter Reid Collins Hamm.

After completing her education, Newahana embarked on a successful career journey. For ten years, she worked at the Saucier Post Office, where she served the community with dedication and diligence. She also worked at Memorial Hospital for seven years. Her passion for helping others shone through in everything she did.

Newahana loved experimenting in the culinary arts. She would often spend hours trying new recipes and delighting her loved ones with mouth-watering dishes. Another significant aspect of Newahana's life was her spirituality. She found solace in studying the Bible and engaging in heartfelt discussions about scripture with loved ones. Her deep faith brought comfort not only to herself but also to those fortunate enough to have known her.

A private gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, July3, 2023 at 6:00 pm, on Freds Lane, Gulfport, MS.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
