Nettie Jo Warfield, age 79 of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully and went on to be with the Lord on May 15, 2021.
She was born in Mobile, AL and was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS. She was the daughter of Reverend Edward and Nettie Carter. She married the love of her life, Charlie William Warfield, Jr.
Nettie was kind, compassionate, and loving. She was heavily involved in church and was a member of Gulfport Church of God, where she played piano for many years. She also regularly attended and tithed to Jimmy Swaggart TV Ministry. She was a woman of God who faithfully served the Lord and loved her family with all her heart. Nettie never met a stranger and was always kind to everyone. She worked as a bookkeeper at A&P for 35 plus years, and loved her job where she found great joy in helping others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; a son who passed away at birth; her mother, Nettie; her father, Rev. Edward Carter; her sisters, Grace, Joyce, Mitty, Bessie, and Eloise; and her brothers, Edward, Jr. and James.
Nettie is survived by her daughter, Stacy; her grandchildren, Ashlynn (Caleb), Joshua, (Zion), and Blakely; her great niece, Ashley; her brother, Aurther; and her sister, Mary.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 21, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 1:00 PM until the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
