Nestor ""Chuck"" Serra, age 82, of Long Beach, passed away on October 14, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Robles Serra; and his sister, Sister Jeanette Serra.
Chuck is survived by his children, Anthony ""Tony"" Serra and his wife Judy, Frances Rome and her husband Ron, Jonathan Serra and his partner Ronald Sarlo, and Michael Serra and his partner John Vermeal; his brother, Peter Serra; his grandchildren, Faith Alameda and her husband Obi, Alexandra, Angela, Anthony, Paul, Vanessa, and Ezio; his great grandchildren, Jenna, Cody, and Isabella; his niece Terie Serra Trenchard and her husband Kenny; his great nephew, Daniel Rice; great-great nephew Damian Rice; his great-great niece, Sheyla Rice; his dear friend, Antoinette Bourke; and his beloved dog, ""Buster"".
He was a native of Brooklyn, New York but a resident of Long Beach, Mississippi. Chuck served in the US Navy from 1952 through 1955. He was a professional photographer and enjoyed stain glass, football, the New York Yankees, woodworking, fishing, baking pies, crabbing and music. He was a good kind man who loved animals, especially his dog ""Buster"".
Chuck's favorite saying was ""What's on the agenda for today?"".
