Nell Newman

~~Nell P. Newman, age 96, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Gulfport.  Nell was born on December 12, 1920 in Dadeville, AL.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin L. Newman; and a son, Jimmie R. Newman.
She is survived by her children, Harold L. Newman (Shirley) of Baton Rouge, Randall M. Newman (Gerri) of Wiggins, and David B. Newman of Gulfport; siblings, Mae Hawkins of Georgia, Jean Aultman of Roswell, GA, Benton Burdette of Dadeville, AL, and Charles Patterson (Joyce) of Dadeville, AL; her grandchildren, Harold L. Newman, Jr., Carla Newman Hilley, Brandon Newman, Loren Newman, Ashley Newman, Graham Newman, Courtney Bush, Mike Sullenberger, Cane Sullenberger, and Stephen Sullenberger; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Newman, Jacob Newman, Natalie Hilley, Renn Newman, Bret Newman, Cade Newman, Corban Newman, Logan Newman, Daniel Bush, Alac Sullenberger, Tate Sullenberger, Jace Sullenberger and Blaine Sullenberger.
Nell loved and cared for her family dearly and she devoted her life to God.  The family wishes to thank her special friend and caretaker, Ann Clements and the staff at Kare In Hospice.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. A graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, MS.
