Neal "Andy" Anderson passed away on April 9, 2018, in Gulfport, Mississippi after a short struggle with Brain Lymphoma. Neal joined the United States Air Force in 1955 and was stationed in Duluth, Minnesota where he met and married Charlene Gooler.
He is survived by their children, James Anderson, Linda Manhartsberger, and Denise McMillian; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Frank Anderson; and sister, Beverly Yerby.
Neal retired from the Air Force in 1982. He moved into the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi about one year ago. Our father enjoyed life to its fullest. At the age of 81, he was still riding his Harley Davidson!
Some of his favorite past times included hunting, fishing, traveling, coin collecting and building model airplanes. Most of all he enjoyed being with friends and family.
Neal will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, a United States military cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. The date for this is yet to be determined.
