Nancy R. Murphy, age 85 of Biloxi, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Redmond and her brother, Dennis Redmond.

Nancy is survived by her children, Patrick (Elizabeth) Murphy, Kathleen (David) Merkel, Eileen (James) Skaines, Brian (Cyndi) Murphy and Margaret Leiser; eight grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and her sister, Maureen Redmond.

Nancy grew up in New York City. After graduating from high school, she pursued a career in nursing, becoming a registered nurse in 1961. She dedicated 50 years of compassionate service to caring for others, a profession she truly loved.

Never one to stop learning, Nancy earned her law degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1981 while continuing her nursing career. She went on to practice law for 20 years, bringing the same dedication, intelligence, and integrity to her legal profession that she had shown in nursing.

Above all, Nancy cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will be remembered for generations.

Graveside service will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Pompano Beach, FL, where she will be laid to rest with her parents.
