Nancey “Nancey Bug” Williams, age 60, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in her home on September 14, 2026.

Nancey was a native of Gulfport, Mississippi, and made her home in Long Beach. She attended vocational college in Texas and later retired after a lifelong career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Throughout her life, Nancey was known for her caring nature and the love she shared with those around her.

Nancey found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved doing crafts and especially enjoyed anything involving photography. She loved a good game of darts, unless the Dallas Cowboys were playing—in that case, you could always find Nancey cheering on her Cowboys.

Above all, Nancey treasured the people she loved. Her family, friends, grandchildren, and great-grandson brought tremendous happiness to her life, and the memories they shared with her will be cherished for years to come.

Nancey was preceded in death by her father, Palmer Williams; her mother, Iddie Williams; numerous brothers and sisters; and her son, Thomas Lewis.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Lewis; her sisters, Beverly Broxson and Judy Carter; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandson; her best friend, Joan Lewis; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Nancey will be remembered for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the joy she found in spending time with those closest to her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone for their prayers, love, and support, with heartfelt appreciation to Beverly Broxson, Judy Carter, and Joan Lewis.
