Myrtle Martha Jackson

Myrtle Martha Jackson, age 87, formerly of Gulfport, passed away on November 5, 2016, in Montgomery, AL.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank A. Jackson; her parents, Maxwell and Ella Mae Reeves of McComb, Mississippi; three sisters, Alice McKenzie, Judy Sandifer, Lois Rushing; and one brother, David Reeves, all of Magnolia, Mississippi; one grandson, Ray Scott Jackson, of Gulfport, Mississippi.
Mrs. Jackson leaves behind a daughter, Connie Taylor (Marvin) of Montgomery, Alabama; three sons, Erwin (Pam) of Pace, Florida, Kenneth (Becky) of Charleston, South Carolina, Chris (Margie) of Picayune, Mississippi; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Ryan of Gulfport, Jessie Cothern, Maxine McKenzie, and Sonny Reeves, all of Magnolia, Mississippi; and a host of nieces and nephews that she so truly loved.
She was a faithful member of the Agape Sunday School Class at Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. She was mother to her children, Mamaw and Nanny to her grandchildren, sister, aunt and Ms. Jackson to others... but stranger to none. She had unmatched strength and determination and an unpredictable humor that everyone fell in love with. She loved roses, gospel music, and her porch swing. There was not much she couldn't do with her hands and a hot glue gun. Her day never ended without reading her scripture verse, as long as she was able to see to read her Bible. She was loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow at Finley Cemetery in Lyman.
