Murray Godwin

Murray Singleton Godwin, age 84, of Gulfport, passed away on December 26, 2017.
Mr. Godwin was a native of Kosciusko, MS.  He retired as United States Air Force Techinal Sergeant and was awarded a Bronze Star for outstanding achievement under enemy fire.  He was a local school teacher and was a member of Ramsey Memorial Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eiko Kato Godwin.
Survivors include his daughter, Monica Walsh and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Ryan and Morganne; a sister, Doris; a brother, Charles; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Ramsey Memorial Methodist Church, Dedeaux Road Gulfport.
Interment will take place in Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
