Murdock Cyril Carson, age 89, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 , in Biloxi, Mississippi.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who touched the lives of many.

Murdock enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends at Dauphin Island, Alabama.  This same love for fishing has been passed down to his children and grandchildren.  He was a 32nd degree Mason and served as Past Master at the Springhill Masonic Lodge.  He has been a member of Poplar Head Methodist Church for many years and was active in the Men’s Bible Study.  He loved music and playing his guitar.

Murdock was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gracie Carson; sister, Myron Rutledge; and 2 grandsons, Christopher Holderfield and Matthew Englund.

He is survived by his wife, Ono “Boots” Carson; five children, Mike Carson (Kay), Brenda Lawless, (Derek), Ka Kinman (Robert), Murdock Cyril Carson, Jr., (Danice), and Gina Englund (Bruce); two sisters, Raebell Broadus and Janiece Gipson; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
