Morris Lee Crain, a devoted family man and retired Machinist with DuPont in DeLisle, Mississippi, has sadly passed away in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, at the age of 70. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Morris made Ocean Springs his home for 46 years and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Morris was known for his generous spirit and dedication to helping others. As a monthly donor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, he embodied compassion and empathy in all aspects of his being. In honor of his memory, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to this esteemed organization (https://www.stjude.org/donate)
Morris had a passion for life that was infectious. He enjoyed various hobbies including fishing, hunting, shooting pool, tinkering with motorcycles and cars, and Morris attended St. Paul Ocean Springs. His love for these activities brought joy not only to himself but also to those around him who were fortunate enough to share in his adventures. He was a remarkable individual known for his quick dry wit and humor that never failed to bring smiles to the faces of all who were fortunate enough to be in his presence.
In the hearts of his surviving family and friends, Morris will forever hold a cherished place. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Vicki J. Crain, who stood by his side through every triumph and trial. His daughters, Jennifer L. Frost (and her husband Adam Frost of Westminster, CO), Natalie Weber (and her husband Alan Weber of Ocean Springs), Samantha Cochran (and her husband Seth Cochran of Sicily); along with five granddaughters, Hannah Henze, Kylie Keels, Macie Keels, Luna Cochran, Eva Cochran; and one grandson, Cannon Frost, will always remember him as a source of strength and guidance.
In addition to his immediate family, Morris is survived by his sister, Brenda Schuler of Louisville, Kentucky. He is also remembered by the memory of his deceased mother, Clova Jo Cull and father, Henry Crain; may they all find peace in each other's embrace once more. Travis Crain, Morris' brother who was tragically lost in Vietnam, will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Morris Lee Crain will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. Paul Ocean Springs (Downtown Campus), 800 Porter Ave., Ocean Springs. The gathering will be a time for friends and loved ones to come together, share memories, and pay tribute to a man whose presence brought light into the lives of many.
Morris's legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten; his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his warmth and compassion. Rest in peace dear Morris Lee Crain.
