Misty Jaudon Charboneau

Misty Jaudon Charboneau, age 55 of Biloxi, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the loving care of her family on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

She was preceded in death by Carroll E. Tussey and her brother, Michael Tussey.

Misty is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Stuart Charboneau; her children, Sarah (Jimmy) Miller, Joseph (Abby) Charboneau, Benjamin (Britny) Charboneau, Ruth (Jamison) Rein, Jesse (Maria) Charboneau, Daniel Charboneau, Leah (Russell) Hernandez, Asa Charboneau (Samantha) and Joanna Charboneau; her grandchildren, Saemus, Jude, Rosella, Havana, Dally, Paris, Darby, Buckley, Junia, Rory, Bodie, Serena and Ivy; her mother, Patsy Tussey; her siblings, Monty Tussey, Monica (Dennis) Paquette, Monessa (Paul) Perkins, Melanie (Ed) Girard, Marshall (Noël) Tussey and Mitchell (Stephanie) Tussey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Misty spent her childhood traveling with her family as her father served in the United States Air Force. Her early years took her to Alaska, Kansas, and England before her family eventually settled in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where she graduated from Grace Baptist Academy.

Misty attended Pensacola Christian College for a year before returning home where she began working at the J.L. Scott Marine Education Center in Biloxi. Later she served as a teacher’s aide and volleyball coach at Grace Baptist Academy, where she enjoyed encouraging and caring for the young people around her.

While attending church one Sunday, Misty met the love of her life, Stuart. That meeting began a beautiful journey, and the two shared 35 wonderful years of marriage together. Their life was filled with family, faith, love, and countless memories.

Misty loved her family dearly. She treasured family gatherings and especially cherished her grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “Mimi.” She was a devoted caregiver, selflessly caring for numerous family members throughout the years as they grew older. Caring for others came naturally to Misty, and she gave of herself freely to those in need.

She loved to travel and had a beautiful singing voice. Music was a special part of her life, and she especially enjoyed singing at church. Misty was also deeply committed to her faith and loved the Lord, finding strength and purpose in Him throughout her life.

Misty and Stuart also opened their hearts and home to others, fostering multiple children over the years. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always willing to give her time, love, and support to those around her.

Misty was loyal to her friends, compassionate toward everyone she met, and truly never met a stranger. Her warm heart, generous spirit, strong faith, and love for others touched countless lives.

She was deeply loved by her family and friends and leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, selflessness, and love. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Celebration of Misty’s life will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church 3707 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs, MS, with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.
