Frances Eloise Kerr, 87, of Biloxi, passed away on March 19, 2016, in Biloxi. Widely known as ""Miss Eloise"", she was born Frances Eloise Feagin on February 28, 1929, in Pensacola, FL, and grew up in Southern Alabama, with extended family still residing in both locations. She was married for 43 years to Eugene J. ""Gene"" Kerr who passed away 5 years ago, also on March 19. She has been a member of 1st Baptist Church of Biloxi since 1968. She retired as a pre-school teacher at 1st Baptist after 18 yrs, where the name Miss Eloise became indelible. Eloise is survived by her daughters, Gail Ann Kerr and Linda Kerr Keenum (Michael), of Biloxi, and a son, Larry Howe-Kerr (Kathy), Louisville, KY. She also has three surviving grandchildren, Jeff Keenum, Mobile, AL, Lauren and Luke Howe-Kerr, Louisville, KY.

Her favorite activities included square dancing and bowling with her husband Gene, and cards with Gene, her kids, and any guest who was game for it. She also loved teaching 3 year olds in pre-school and working with people who became life-long close friends. She was a loving wife and she and Gene were often holding hands. She loved to prepare a feast for family or company, always read the Bible, often quoting from it, and cherished family and good friends. With the right weather, her home had one of the most abundant and beautiful azalea blossoms in town.
She and husband Gene were both dedicated to each other and to their respective churches, she Baptist and he Catholic, being a great example of enriching each other's faith in times when such mixed marriages were uncommon. Their dedication was also evidenced in their determined and steadfast care for the other when in ill health.
