Miss Eldred "Ellie" Mary Kirkpatrick

Miss Eldred Mary ""Ellie"" Kirkpatrick passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. Eldred was born in Gulfport, MS, moved to Barnwell, S.C. in 1951, returning to Mississippi in 1967. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and administrator for the Biloxi School District, and a member of Joe Graham Post 119 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She received the Pope Pieus X award. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Kirkpatrick. Survivors include two sons, Terry Kirkpatrick of Duluth, GA, and Randy Kirkpatrick of Long Beach, MS; two daughters, Miss Melinda Kelly of Gulfport and Mrs. Thomas (Judy) Riddle of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Angela Estes (Jim III), Danielle Kirkpatrick, Keith Riddle and Brittany Kirkpatrick; and four great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11 at St. John the Evangelist, where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach. In lieu of flowers monetary gifts may be made to www.hemophilia.org or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
