Michelle Duran Strahan

Michelle Duran Strahan, 52 of Long Beach, passed away at her home on August 11, 2023.  She was born on March 21, 1971 in Stratford, NJ to Michael & Bonita Duran.

Michelle is preceded in death by her father in law, Rev. Henry Strahan Jr.; grandmother, Angela “Nana” Duran; grandparents, Cecil & Opal Jordan.

Michelle enjoyed listening to music and cooking.  She was an avid Saints & Ole Miss fan.  Michelle loved to travel and spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.  She was a loving and devoted Catholic and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.  Michelle was a very outgoing and charismatic individual.  Her laugh and smile will be missed, and to know Michelle was to love her.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Troy Strahan; daughters, Sydney Michelle Strahan, and Shelby Jordan Strahan; grandchildren, Joseph, Sophia, and Scarlett; parents, Michael & Bonita Duran; brother, Eddie Duran; sisters, Theresa (Jon Paul) Richard, and Denise (Joey) Brown; mother in law, Loretta Strahan.  Michelle also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church (720 Beach Blvd E, Long Beach, MS 39560) with burial to follow at Finley Cemetery, Gulfport.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in Michelle’s honor can be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital.
