Michael E. Sanders, 72, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away at home on March 25, 2026.
Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by love for his family, dedication to his work, and a deep connection to his community. He was preceded in death by his father, Myrl Sanders; his mother, Frances Beverly Sanders Huff; and his brother, Mitchell E. Sanders.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Pam Sanders of Gulfport, Mississippi; his children, Michelle Sanders, Jackie Bunch (Jacob), and Natalie Lowe (Clifford); his sister, Tammy Owen (Ed); and his cherished grandchildren, Marleigh Lowe, Ava Bunch, Clifton Michael Lowe, and Omega Lowe. He is also survived by his niece, Brianna Owen; his nephew, Kody Sanders; and his brother-in-law, Shawn Gardner.
Mike graduated from Grissom High School in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1972. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Personnel Management with a minor in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1976.
Throughout his life, Mike was known for his strong work ethic and business leadership. He worked in auto parts from 1987 to 1999 and later served as business manager of One Stop Tire and Service and Bacchus Wine & Liquor in Long Beach, Mississippi, where he made a lasting impact through his dedication and service.
Outside of work, Mike had a passion for music and loved playing guitar. He especially enjoyed coaching his daughters’ recreational softball teams in Long Beach and coaching St. Thomas Church League men’s softball. He was proud to be a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Mike will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for family and friends, and the many lives he touched through his kindness, leadership, and encouragement.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to family, friends, and Tammy Allen for their love and support during this time.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 10 - 11 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. A reception will be held in the St. Thomas Community Center immediately following the Mass of Christian Burial.
