Michael Lee Mathers, known to his loved ones as "Mikey," passed away on August 10, 2023, in Pascagoula, MS, after a brief illness. Born on February 23, 1958, in Guam, Mikey lived a life full of passion and joy, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Mikey attended St. Martin High School and graduated with pride. He had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a curiosity that drove him to seek out new experiences throughout his life. A proud member of the National Guard, Mikey served his country with honor and dedication.
Music was an integral part of Mikey's life. He had a deep appreciation for all genres and enjoyed playing the guitar as part of a band. His talent and passion resonated through the strings of his instrument, bringing happiness to those around him.

Outside of music, Mikey found solace in various hobbies and interests. He loved spending time playing pool with friends and was often found casting his line out into the waters near Ship Island on fishing adventures. These activities allowed him to connect with nature and find peace in the simple pleasures of life.
