Michael Linkous, age 53 of Bay St. Louis, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tanya Linkous Simmons; mother, Billie Yvonne Britt; father, Douglas Ray Linkous; grandmother, Jo Ann Phillips Carlin (Reginald); and grandfather, Earl Britt.

Michael is survived by sisters, Michelle Linkous Carrigan (Chris) and Diana Linkous; former spouse America Linkous Trudeau Bray; daughters, Ashley Linkous Hebert (Jesse), Dixie Marie Linkous, and Olivia Lynn Trudeau (Thorton); son, Charles Lee Linkous; 6 grandchildren, Valerie Trudeau, Nadia Hebert, Kehlani Keodouangdy, Dakota Hebert, Tru White, and Xuri Jenkins.

Michael was a native of Plaquemine, LA and graduated from Plaquemine High School. He worked as a deckhand for Verret’s Shipyard and then worked at the Infinity Science Center.

He was an avid craftsman who loved working with his hands and making special gifts for his family. He shared a variety of interests with his children from movie nights and camping in the living room, to playing video games, and "YES" days when he would come home off his shifts, building model cars & playing board games. His love of music showed playing in his daily life always having music playing on the stereo or in the car with his favorite songs like "Free Bird" He was also an animal lover, a fan of muscle car, and motorcycles. His wants were very few & loved to joyride. He was a sturdy hand to hold on to and a true friend you could turn to when times were good or bad. 

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
