Michael Jeff Harris

Michael J. 'Mikey' Harris, age 40, of Gulfport, passed away on February 20 2014 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Elmira Bell; and his pet dog, Lou.
Mikey is survived by his wife, Jillian Harris of Gulfport; his parents, Billy and Rosalyn Harris of Gulfport; his siblings, Jan Spain and Bubba Harris and his wife, Dawn, of Gulfport, and Babs Rogers and her husband, Buck of Huntsville, AL; his nieces and nephews, Breann Rogers, Holly Rogers, Haley Spain, Hannah Spain, Jake Spain, Sydnie Harris, and Gavin Harris; numerous close friends; and his pet dog, Sammy.
Mikey loved the game of soccer, was a mentor for many young people and coached a soccer team in the South Mississippi Soccer Club to a state championship. He enjoyed fishing and his jeep. He worked for many years and was a partner with his family of Billy Harris Plumbing. He always had a smile on his face and he loved life.
The family would like to thank Dr. Douglas, Dr. Mullen, and the staff of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for their care and compassion during Mikey's illness.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 2:00 PM until the service.
