Michael Lee Douglas

Michael Lee Douglas, age 65 of Gulfport, MS, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Bailey Douglas; brother, John Walter Douglas; sister Sandy Lynn Richards; brother, James Patrick Douglas; and brother-in-law, William “Leroy” Richards.

Michael is survived by his mother, Zelma Douglas; children, Michael Douglas, II (Amanda) and Samantha Gibson (Drew); siblings, Diana Owens and Donald Owens; and 2 grandchildren, Alexis Ladner and Haelyn Douglas.

Michael was a native of Wheat, Colorado Ridge. He was a former Vice President of Operations at Ascentia Real Estate and captain of “Invictus”. He was a deeply devoted father, son, and friend. His family was his life. Michael enjoyed music, sailing, and heated political debates with friends and family. He was a free spirit who lived life.

A visitation will be 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Friday, January 12, 2024, at New Hope Church, 17430 Landon Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. The Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00pm at the church.
